THE FAILSAFES RELEASE FULL LENGTH LP: CRACK IN THE BLIND

The Failsafes are excited to announce the upcoming release of their first LP: Crack in the Blind. This record was produced by Rob Baker, and recorded and mixed by Nyles Spencer at The Bathouse Studio, Bath, Ontario (August 2019). 

All songs feature “The General” Kevin Neal on pedal steel. 

The Failsafes

The Failsafes are an independent rock and country band from Toronto, Ontario. Influenced by early 1970s British rockers,  The Failsafes combine roots Americana music with blues-based rock for a broad spectrum of sounds. Originally formed in Halifax in 2004, The Failsafes developed their chops playing parties and pubs around Dalhousie University. After relocating to Toronto, the band turned to writing original material and have been gigging steadily in leading venues around the city, including The Painted Lady, Cameron House and the Horseshoe Tavern. 

Crack In The Blind is The Failsafes’ first full length LP and their third release. In 2018, the band released its debut self-titled EP, followed by the all-country Starlights EP in July 2019. 

The Failsafes will celebrate the release of Crack In The Blind with a party on April 4, 2020 at the Monarch Tavern in Toronto.  Tickets are available at www.eventbrite.ca.  

A limited pressing of vinyl will be available in April 2020 at retailers throughout Toronto.
